MEDIEVAL FEAST
27-28-29 JULY 2012

The Association La Rocca, during the last weekend of July, brings back to its ancient splendour, the much loved Laterina castle.
All the visitors will be enchanted by the old atmosphere full of sounds and colours, we will recreate.

The events of the Feast:

On Friday, at 7:00 p.m., our usual cultural appointment: the Conference held in the “Giardini della Rocca”. This year Doctor Pier Luigi Rossi will talk about the transformation of Laterina from a castle to a fortress (the Conference will be in italian).

During the three days of the Feast many acting companies will bright up the streets of our little village: the “Errabundi Musici” and the “Sidera Orientalibus” musicians will cheer up everybody with their music.

The “Compagnia del Drago Nero” will perform their fantastic shows of street theatre and fire, and on Sunday the performances of the rapacious birds will make all keep their head turned up!

And then: “Mago Messer Paolo dei Ligattieri” with his magics and the wandering entertainers “Giullarjocoso e Madonna Ygraine”, “I Giullari Fiorentini” and “Messer Dante l’Alighieri”.

During the three days of the Feast there will be medieval processions, the oath of allegiance of our Army, historical recollections of the past of Laterina. Visitors will admire our War Machines, will be able to visit the Torre Guinigi and the Medieval Market and eat or drink in our taverns
